Rosin provides good grip on the string, but it also collects all the dust particles on the hair. Fine fibers wrap around the string and create a hissing sound.

The issue you’re describing is due to applying too much rosin to your bow. We recommend cleaning it thoroughly and reapplying the rosin in small amounts, gradually, so that it spreads evenly between the fibers.

I ordered my bow from Brazil, and it got here safely. Took 3 Weeks and taxes were included. I had a good experience with costumer service with fast responses. So, I recommend to anyone who wants to buy from this Store. I was really looking forward to having this vegan bow for ethical reason and I’ve been very impressed by the sound and, of course, the purple synthetic hair. It’s a little diferent from the traditional bow, needs more rosin and i had never used a carbon fiber bow before. But, i love it! Just still getting used to it. Definetly want to try out the premium bow too in the future.

J’utilise cet archet pour la plupart de mes sessions de travail personnel à la maison, afin de ne pas user ma mèche en crin de cheval. Cet archet ainsi que les crins synthétiques sont de très bonne qualité et fonctionnent tout à fait correctement. J’ai aussi deux autres archets de très grande valeur en pernambouc et crin de cheval. Cet archet en carbone n’égalera pas la souplesse des archets naturels de très bonne facture, mais il dépassera largement les archets en bois de premiers prix. D autre part, il est bien plus solide, et le remèchage pourra se faire beaucoup moins souvent, car les crins synthétiques sont très résistants. Il n’y a pas tout à fait la même accroche généreuse qu’avec le crin de cheval, mais on s’en rapproche malgré tout. Une très bonne nouvelle technologie au service des musiciens à cordes.
