Hear me roar.

I received a parcel from Coruss that included an alien backscratcher, and a few pieces of this rosin. I’ve been gifted candy in packages before, and I was happy to see this Appalachian bass fiddler chewing compound.
However, it was actually rather bland, slightly bitter, and almost removed one of my teeth.
It certainly didn’t live up to its hillbilly reputation as a treat.
I tried grating it and putting it both in soup, and sprinkling it over a salad. The rosin still didn’t do much for me.
Then, taking a totally different tack, I remembered that Godzilla’s roar was made by saturating a glove with rosin, and dragging it down the strings of a bass fiddle (the bass fiddle seems to be a recurring theme going on).
Well, I wasn’t going to ruin a pair of gloves, but I did have this alien backscratcher Coruss had just sent. So, I rubbed the rosin all over the backscratcher, which seemed particularly suited for the hair of artificially intelligent horses that the backscratcher boasted, and dragged *that* on the strings of this old instrument that was lying around – sort of an oversized viola da gamba, but missing two strings, and the catgut frets were taken off (because I’m vegan).
Well, talk about basso profundo! That old glorified wooden box moaned and sang.
I definitely recommend trying it out if you have the time.

Rosin

Rosin provides good grip on the string, but it also collects all the dust particles on the hair. Fine fibers wrap around the string and create a hissing sound.

Hello!

The issue you’re describing is due to applying too much rosin to your bow. We recommend cleaning it thoroughly and reapplying the rosin in small amounts, gradually, so that it spreads evenly between the fibers.

If you want more details about how to apply your rosin or clean your bow, you can contact us at any time! 😀
