my understanding from Gemini AI is that coruss is a high-grade synthetic (possibly PEEK based) polymer which is less 'toothy' than incredibow's textured fiber. the colophane rosin is a hard, high-melting point which breaks into dust on the coruss hair after some applications. as a result, i've been lured into using more and more rosin, and was breathing in dust fumes and experiencing scratchy sound. after cleaning it up, i tried andrea, pirasto, and some heinl rosin from the 1970s (which actually seems to work the best). it is possible that coruss hair works better with a softer, stickier rosin than the colophane. i was getting a great sound initially, but the bow started sliding all over the strings afterwards (which led to applying more rosin than i should). also, keeping the hair looser seems to give a much-needed, better grip coefficient. i'll keep experimenting, because the coruss hair is very different than the incredibow hair i've been using for nearly 2 decades.

Excellent product, I live in Ireland so the humidity is a problem for my horse hair bow but this has solved the problems I was having, strongly recommend both hair and rosin
